Spring seeds

My garden seeds have arrived for Spring 2010, and I'm excited! I ordered them from John Scheeper's Kitchen Garden Seeds.
For our big new vegetable garden, there are carrots, Swiss chard, pickling cucumbers, Russian kale, kohlrabi, leeks, bunching onions, beets, spinach, and many kinds of interesting lettuces, mesclun, and greens. For my honeybees, there is borage, anise hyssop, nicotiana, and calendula. I always buy my tomatoes as plants since the season is so very short here and I don't start seed indoors.
Seed sowing time is still many weeks away....patience.

  1. Facinating blog! I'm enjoying every click into the archives :)
And I recognized those seed packages right away...handling those packets, the satisfying rattle of the contents, the alluring graphic art on the fronts...well, its just more food for the gardeners senses, isn't it?
